Armed with a degree in Information Technology from the esteemed Sri Lanka Institute of Information Technology, Kalhara has seamlessly woven the threads of innovation and travel throughout his career.
Kalhara’s odyssey in the dynamic world of tourism began in 2016 when he joined Hayleys Tours, the distinguished tour arm of Hayleys Group, a multinational conglomerate in Sri Lanka. Starting as an executive, his relentless dedication saw him rise to the position of Assistant Manager by 2019. During his impactful tenure until 2021, Kalhara played a pivotal role in shaping the identity of Hayleys Tours as a premier player in the industry.
Venturing into new horizons, Kalhara assumed the role of Director at NextStep Journey, where he brought his innovative spirit to the forefront. His leadership and strategic vision were instrumental in propelling NextStep Journey to new heights.
